I was referred by my OBGYN to get my first ultrasound. So I was very excited!!! Well i got to my appintment and i waited for 2 hrs which i had to hold myself from going to the restroom.Then when it was time (after 3hrs) to do ultrasound. I was told that no one else could go in. Only me so I asked if it was possible to let my family member come in; since its my first pregnacy. She then replyed with I dont like people to be breathing down my neck. People tend to be behind me and breath down my neck. So i really thought that was very unprofessional but i ignored it. She said okay i will make an exception and let my family(one person) come in. I agreed to tell my family member not to be behind her. When we were in the room she repeated herself that she just didnt like people breathing down her neck. So then she began the whole ultrasound process; she the showed my the small monitor. Pointed out; that is the embryo .... turned the monitor away from me and stated she was covering for someone that was in vacation for two weeks. She mentioned that she worked at the hospital and the equipment she was using; she was not familiar with. It was completely different from the one she uses at the hospital. So I asked about heart beat but she said the sound was not working. At the end of the ultrasound I asked if i was able to get a picture but she didnt know how to print it out. She then called receptionist and they both tried to figure out how to do it; and nothing. She kept on saying well the other equipment that i use i just have to click here and i can print it out. She was really confused the entire appointment. I then called the office who referred me from Nueva Vida and the receptionist was not helpful she said i didnt need a picture that appointment was just to see the measurements. I advised her of everything that had happened but didnt help at all. I am not telling you all not to go to Providence of Nueva Vida. I am simply letting know my expirence. Your choice if you want someone to tell you they dont want you breathing down her neck. And another person telling you a picture is not needed. Again YOUR CHOICE!!!
