Very attentive and professional and just a wonderful therapist.
While Dr. Chanderbhan is very professional, she is also very compassionate, which makes you feel comfortable when divulging your life circumstances. She helps you process your negative thoughts/words by putting your thoughts in order for you to understand the bigger picture and make the proper changes needed for yourself. She is also a great at mirroring your words back to you, so you can reflect on what's being said in the moment and turn your words into positive thoughts/words by guiding you to look inward. I'd recommend her to any of my friends and family.
I am a UH student and received services from Dr. C-F when she was working at our university counseling center. She is friendly but not overly familiar. I really like and appreciate her directly and honest communications. I like her hand gestures, role plays and reflective feedback. I feel so sad to see her leaving UH and miss her a lot since she left earlier this summer. I am thinking to follow her to her private practice although UH only charges me $5 per hour here. Highly recommend!
She's a wonderful therapist and I greatly enjoyed my time with her. The sole reason I'm ending treatment is due to my out-of-state relocation.
Is there a way to give 100 stars? If there was a way, that's how I would rate Dr. Chanderbahn. I've been to therapy before but nothing compares to the 12 plus months I spent under Dr. Chanderbahn's care. She has completely changed my life for the better and I will be forever grateful. She is patient, thorough and is so good at what she does. She has this unique way about her that makes you feel completely at ease and that's so helpful when you're in such a vulnerable state. I am so sad that is she leaving Houston and I'm extremely jealous of her new patients! If you're looking for a quality therapist, don't look anywhere else - Dr. Chanderbahn is the real deal.
