It's obvious the other reviewers on Google never worked at Laredo Specialty Hospital and or Laredo Rehabilitation Hospital. I did. Now, to begin, beware of the area director of operations Mario Rodriguez. He's a micro-manager, actively in charge of the location, but refuses to take responsibility from his actions and or omissions. The facility has a full census, but he cuts corners in critical building systems to make himself look good against the other Ernest locations. This activity by Mario places patients and staff at risk. Watch those elevators, bc they will cut your head off with their damaged door sensors. Also, their Generac backup generator has been failing, defective controller, idler assy, etc. Don't be surprised to find yourself in complete darkness during a power outage. Also, they lie when they talk about a sign-on bonus. It's not given to you at the beginning, but pro-rated over two years. What a joke. If you have to work here don't trust ANYONE and WATCH YOUR BACK. Also, the town is the classic border town, sleezy, dirty, small streets, and no opportunity. Three exits North and you find yourself in the desert. I did the best for the patients, staff and doctors while I was there. I resigned, bc I could NOT guarantee their safety, bc of Mario's run until fail financial strategy. Everything I stated above is the truth.
I was admitted to Laredo Specialty Hospital on 12-9-16, and spent 21 days at this hospital. Everybody on the staff treated me with respect and caring hands. The place is very professionally ran and I left walking after going thru rehabilitation. Special thanks to The nurses Gloria,Debbie, Ambrose,Bobbi, and a few others. There names have slipped my mind. The PCT'S Deyanira, both Rosie's. The Rt's Memo, Javier,Omaro, Robert, Hugo. My case Mgr.Norma. Thank you for the patience and care you all showed me.
