Don't book online. They don't check it. I booked 1 week in advance and called today to confirm my appointment. The lady said, "no we don't have you down."
I was so excited to try this nail salon but left highly disappointed. The old saying is true, "Never judge a book by its cover." The shop is beautiful, in a great location, and has a trendy concept, however, they lack customer focus and basic service skills. My daughter and I were there today for an acrylic fill, a gel manicure, and pedicures. It took my nail tech 4.5 hours to complete acrylic fills, they had to redo my daughter's gel nails because the "chrome" technique didn't process right, and I ended up with only a polish change on my toes because after sitting for 4 hours I had had enough! The owner, Nija, evidently does not care about how important providing great customer is to a business. She never acknowledged the long service time nor apologized for the poor service we received and charged me for each service as if it was normal business. I asked if she had realized we had been there since 1:10 pm (our appointed time was 1:15) and if she felt it was ok to charge me full price. Her response had me floored. She simply looked at me and said, "Yeah, I know." As upset as I was I didn't become irate, I simply completed our transaction and told her I wasn't happy and would not be returning. I tipped our nail techs because they were impressionable young ladies and I know they tried their best, but I also told them I would not be returning. There were a few reasons it took so long, none being our fault. The first reason it took as long as it did was because of their senior nail tech (I assume), Flavia, who kept stopping Tory while she was doing my nails to give tutorials. It took over three hours for acrylic fills!! This was before the polish! Second reason, Anita had attempted a chrome gel polish on my daughter but the chrome kept peeling off so they had to soak them and repolish. I was only being as patient as I had been because I genuinely wanted to be supportive of this new business, unfortunately, they failed to meet the first rule of doing business in the service industry, and that's knowing how to meet the fundamental needs of your customers and get those right 100% of the time. I witnessed the owner tell walk-in clients she could not service them due to appointments but she did not do any nails during the time I was there (remember I was there for a loooong time!). Instead, she ran out and got food then returned to only sit and chat with another tech who was doing a pedicure. If you want to be pampered, receive great quality, and timely service go elsewhere!.
